New magazine launched on evidence-based education
A new magazine has been launched this month that promises to offer easy access to the latest developments in education research.
Aimed at educational leaders and policy makers, Better: Evidence-based Education will feature accessible articles from some of the most respected educational researchers in the world. Unusually, all articles will be rooted in rigourous research on what really works in the classroom. Each edition will be themed, and the launch edition will focus on reading at both primary and secondary level.
The magazine is produced by the Institute for Effective Education (IEE), based at the University of York. The IEE is an independent research centre that develops, evaluates, and disseminates effective education programmes, and promotes evidence-based policies.
