About Lightspan Reading
Lightspan software focuses on reading (and maths) objectives. It can be assigned by teachers or self-selected by pupils, and may be used in school or at home. Each week, a new CD is given to pupils to take home and teachers assess content intended to be experienced at home.
At home parents are provided with Sony Playstations linked to their televisions, so that the instructional software can be used both in both at school and at home. Parents receive training in the technology and in ways to help their children.
